Wicker park is one of the coolest neighborhoods in Chicago. Wicker Park can be portrayed as the “Brooklyn” of Chicago. Known as being the hipster neighborhood, this neighborhood really has it all when it comes to dining, drinking, shopping, and music. Chicago’s hipster hub features so much to do, including the 606 walking trail, many hole-in-the-wall restaurants and bars, shopping, music, and a few hotels. If you’re staying in Wicker Park from out of town, definitely check out Hotel Robey. They have a cabana club with a pool on their rooftop that overlooks the Chicago skyline.
If you’re a local, enjoy easy access to Wicker Park by taking the blue line to the iconic six corners Damen stop. Some restaurants to try are No Bones Beach Club, a vegan beach-themed restaurant. The portions are huge and you won’t even believe the food is vegan. Another cool spot is Paradise Park, which is a sister restaurant of Homeslice Pizza in Lincoln Park and Happy Camper in Old Town. You can literally eat pizza out of a trailer park themed restaurant with hanging lights and good vibes. If you ever have the Sunday scaries, this is your spot.
The shopping scene in Wicker Park is surprisingly really awesome. They have a Champion store, Dr Martens, a few consignment shops, record shops, and much more. We recommend checking out Scotch & Soda, an upscale dutch fashion company. If you’re into concerts, check out Subterranean right off the blue line. If you are looking to move to Wicker Park, Smash Properties has access to everything available in real-time. Check us out!
