Here in Chicago, we all look forward to those warm summer days and soaking in every second of the sunny weather. However, after several scorching hot days, by the time September rolls around, many look forward to cool nights and fall favorites: chunky sweaters, deep colors, boots and of course PUMPKIN SPICE EVERYTHING! At Smash Properties, we want you to trust us, not only to find you your perfect Chicago Condo or Apartment, but also to give you the insider deets on everything pumpkin spice in Chicago.
Since this fall drink favorite is what everyone craves at this time of year, I jotted down a list of a few places you can indulge in this toasty treat.
Au Bon Pain- On a crisp fall day you can enjoy a cup of the limited release Pumpkin Latte and Pumpkin Chai Latte. What better than Gold Coast and Pumpkin Spice Lattes? That’s right, NOTHING! If you live at our favorite Gold Coast Condos, stop by your neighborhood Au Bon Pain and indulge in these pumpkin flavored beverages this fall.
Baskin Robbins- Who doesn’t want a cup full of pumpkin cheesecake ice cream with crunchy gingersnap pieces and a cinnamon cream cheese ribbon? There are plenty Baskin Robbins locations throughout the city, but the one we frequent most often for our sweet treat is located just down the street from our River West office on Ashland and Division. I know… dangerous!
Cold Stone Creamery- The Harvest Pumpkin Cheesecake Ice Cream is TO DIE FOR! Let’s be honest, is there another location other than in River North on Ohio Street? Those lucky River North Condo dwellers are so #blessed!
Dunkin Donuts- On the run, this is a great option. Pair The Pumpkin Spice Latte and the Pumpkin spice baked goods for a pumpkin spiced overload of goodness. Lucky for me, Dunkin Donuts is not only down the street from our River West Office but it is also down the street from my Old Town Condo. What could be better?
Jamba Juice- For you smoothie lovers, Jamba has released the Almond Milk Smoothie which blends real pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg and almond milk. The best part, it contains 1.5 servings of fruit, so you can eat all the pumpkin spiced treats you want. Right? To my surprise, there are several Jamba Juice locations throughout the city, Lakeview, River North (again has several locations, those lucky River North residents) and the South Loop.
Panera Bread- Warm up with a cup of their pumpkin spice latte. Now to my knowledge there aren’t several locations in the city, but if you are as “lucky” as I am to live so close (Old Town Condo Owners) to this carb filled holy heaven, please do me a favor and pick up a pumpkin spice latte and a loaf of bread!
McDonald’s- Yes you heard me, McDonald’s is now serving the McCafe Pumpkin Spice Latte. Uh hello! I mean, come on, if you aren’t less than a minute from a McDonald’s are you even in the city? Just walk down the street and grab yourself a beverage!
Starbucks- Of course, the crowd favorite, Pumpkin Spice Latte is back at Starbucks. Go to your neighborhood location and take all the basic insta pics BEFORE the leaves even change color.
PS. Follow us on Instagram- SmashProperties- where we promise no pictures of pumpkin spice lattes from Starbs will ever be posted!
On a side note, has anyone tried the Pumpkin Oreos? These sound like something I should definitely delve into.
On a second side note, if anyone is looking for the BEST fall scented candle to light during an Open House or when showing your condo to potential buyers, my personal favorite is Leaves from Bath & Body. Just saying, you will thank me!
Enjoy all your pumpkin spice goodness and let us know if you have any favorites that were not included in this list! Also tag us if you try any of these suggestions and let us know your thoughts. Was the wait for pumpkin worth it?
